Read the following passage and answer the questions

New York is the most exciting city in the United States. It consists of five boroughs: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island. The city is referred to as New York City or the City of New York in order to distinguish it from the State of New York of which it is apart. It also has many nicknames such as 'the city that never sleeps' and 'the big apple'. The big apple is the most famous nickname.

As a global power city, New York has many different things to offer such as media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. The home of the United Nations Headquarters in New York is an important centre for international diplomacy and is described as the cultrual and financial capital of the world.

More than one million people immigrate to the United States each year to start their new lives and, when arriving in New York, one of the first sights they see is the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty stands on Liberty Island, near Manhattan in New York. It was a gift from the people of France in 1886 and is still the tallest statue in America. From the tip of the torch to the pedestal on which she stands, the Statue of Liberty is over 151 feet tall.
