Sample Listening Questions

The listening section of this website assesses the delegate's listening skills, identifying how well he/she interprets concepts and factual information that are spoken, as well as recognises the attitudes and opinions of a speaker. It consists of various listening exercises which require the delegate to listen to the recording and answer the associated questions.

Recordings include conversations between two people, monologues set in an everyday social situation, conversations between up to four people set in an educational or training context, and monologues on an academic subject.

Question styles include single best answer, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, table completion, diagram completion, notes completion, summary completion, sentence completion, matching information, and matching sentence endings. The delegate should submit his/her answer(s) and select 'Mark', upon which the correct answer(s) will be shown instantaneously.
